Founded in 1996 by Frank Macera Jr. and Joseph Jaeger Sr., A-MED began with just two ambulances and a clear purpose — to provide reliable, high-quality care when it matters most. Today, we’re recognized as one of Louisiana’s most trusted private ambulance services.

Ambulance Transportation
We partner with local hospitals, nursing home facilities, home health agencies, and hospice organizations to provide immediate emergency and non-emergency medical transportation.
Service levels include:
Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Critical Care.
We operate the largest fleet of wheelchair accessible transport vans in the Greater New Orleans area.
Our Van Operators are CPR, first aid, and defensive driving certified.

Mobile Integrated health
ALS medical standby coverage is available for film production (stunts, equipment rental, consulting services), sporting events, festivals, concerts, and other public events.
Our Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) program brings care to patients where and when it’s needed most.
We reduce unnecessary ER visits and hospital readmissions by delivering skilled, in-home care, telehealth support, and chronic disease management through experienced EMS professionals.
